Forecasters call for early preview of monsoon

Mother Nature may be offering a sneak peek at the monsoon heading into the weekend even though the official monsoon season does not begin until June 15.

The National Weather Service says a surge of moisture from the south will bring a 10 percent chance of rain to Fountain Hills on Friday, with that increasing to 30 percent by Friday night. The high temperature for the day is expected to be 97 degrees.
