All people need forgiveness for their particular infractions, transgressions, sins and crimes.
Those indicated ascending degrees require ascendency to obtain forgiveness. Yet most do not know how to achieve forgiveness for their body actions.
Your body, controlled by your ego, cannot give itself forgiveness. That is not a function of what the ego does for the body. What the ego does is protect itself and the body physically and, if the ego needs to lie to protect the body, it will do so.

Your ego can blame others and at times does blame others for its bad decisions. This is accomplished by one’s id. Through tricks, the id confuses the ego. And the effect of the id upon the ego, cumulatively, is much worse; thus a diminished super-ego.
The only chance for forgiveness is through the super-ego, a thing outside the body. Super-ego is closer to spirit – a higher authority – but it’s not spirit. Super-ego is somewhat like a forming spirit.
True forgiveness for one’s body actions happens when one’s diminished super-ego is given a chance to grow. Growth is an ascendant function; i.e. becoming more. That growth is you moving spiritually toward God. It is God that conveys forgiveness, and that forgiveness gives peace to your body. It is your acceptance of God’s grace, his forgiveness, that brings you peace.
Your faith in God, your acceptance of God, is all that is necessary.
Love before hate, honor before duty, life before death.
