Former Fountain Hills firefighter sentenced to probation

Ordered to register as sex offender for hidden camera use

Former Fountain Hills firefighter Douglas Rohr was sentenced Thursday, Aug. 6, to 10 years of supervised probation, ordered to register as a sex offender and complete both sex offender and mental treatment programs by the Maricopa County Superior Court for placing cameras inside his ex-wife’s Mesa home.

The court also mandated strict computer monitoring supervision, travel restrictions and a no-contact order to the victims.

Rohr, 54, was arrested in August 2025 following an investigation into the allegations. Prosecutors say he spied on his ex-wife and two underage children using three video cameras, all different models. One was located in a bathroom, the laundry room and master bedroom of the home.
