Former Senator Jon Kyl guest at FH GOP Christmas Party
Former Arizona U.S. Senator Jon Kyl will be the guest of honor at the Fountain Hills Republican Club’s annual Christmas Party, Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Fountain Hills Community Center. The event will begin with the traditional pot luck brunch at 8:30 a.m. followed by the program at 9 a.m.
Kyl, who rose to the heights of GOP Leadership in the Senate as Minority Whip, retired in 2013 after 25 years in Congress. He is currently with the law firm of Covington and Burlington in Washington, D.C. and divides his time between there and his home in Phoenix.
His role at Covington and Burlington is as an advisor to corporate clients on domestic and international policies that influence U.S. and multi-national businesses assisting them on tax, health care, defense, national security and intellectual property matters.

Members are asked to contact 3rd Vice-President Rosemary Hansen RBud88@msn.com to let her know what dish you plan to share. There is no charge for the event; reservations are not necessary; guests are welcome to join in the holiday celebration. Local and state GOP officials have been invited to attend.
Members are also asked to bring contributions for the annual Marine Toys for Tots Drive. Toy contributions should be unwrapped. Monetary contributions are also welcome. A member of the Marine Corps Reserve will be on hand to accept the gifts.
Membership Chairman Leona Johnston encourages members to pay their annual dues before Jan. 1, 2015. Dues are $15 for individuals and $20 for families. Payment may be sent to the Fountain Hills Republican Club, P.O. Box 17814, Fountain Hills, AZ 85269 or paid at the meeting. All paid up members’ names will be placed in a drawing for a special prize to be announced at the Christmas party. The winner need not be present.
