Due to popular demand, Lt. Colonel (Ret.) Darla Roberts has been invited back to present at the Fountain Hills Library to discuss the history and global significance of the U.S. Pentagon, the headquarters of the nation’s defense operations.
The presentation will be Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 1 p.m., when Roberts, a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran who spent more than six years working in the Pentagon in Arlington, Va., will discuss the history of the Pentagon and her personal experience working there.
Freshly graduated from war college at the Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala., Roberts was assigned to the office of the Inspector General of the U.S. Air Force at the Pentagon, an office responsible for evaluating and reporting on the Air Force’s readiness, efficiency, economy and discipline.
