The election will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15, with the polls open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The polling site is at the Fort McDowell Park and Recreation Center, 16402 N. Fort McDowell Road.
All enrolled tribal members 21 years of age and older may vote.

Fort McDowell special election Aug. 15

The Aug. 7, edition of The Fountain Hills Times includes the incorrect date for the special election at the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation to name a successor to the late Dr. Clinton Pattea as tribal president.
The election will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15, with the polls open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The polling site is at the Fort McDowell Park and Recreation Center, 16402 N. Fort McDowell Road.
All enrolled tribal members 21 years of age and older may vote.
There will be four names on the ballot for the special election.
The candidates include Ruben Balderas, Raphael Bear, Gerald Doka and Nimrod Thomas.
Two of the candidates, Balderas and Bear have previously served on the Tribal Council. Bear served as president.
The Times apologizes for the error in our print edition.
