Fountain Hills attracts the most incredible people, from all over this great nation, and they have much to contribute to their newfound hometown.

Last summer, after adopting a rescue stray dog, we encountered many difficulties getting him settled in with my others. He was totally unreadable, unpredictable, temperamental and would even become aggressive without cause. Thankfully, Michelle of Spike’s Treats told me of a new resident who specializes in behavioral solutions and training.

Because of my other special needs dogs being at risk, I called Gerard Schaffner and he immediately came to attend our problem. Having rescued several special needs dogs over the years, and lucky to have had few behavior problems to deal with, his expertise was welcome and an excellent refresher course in human/canine relationships.

Although it soon became apparent that our dog issues were mainly caused by underlying health problems that were unknown at the time of adoption, it was a blessing to find a local expert, at our time of need, to help cope with his problems until figuring out the root cause of them.

We are so pleased to see that Gerard and his wife just opened a training and daycare facility at Plaza Fountainside, so that others can discover the amazing talents of “Allehunde.” Fountain Hills dog lovers will all appreciate your contribution to our great town and welcome to your new home.
