Ginny Paulsen, founder of the local nonprofit Foster Your Future, thanked the Four Peaks Rotary in Fountain Hills for its donation of $5,000 and the Fountain Hills Real Estate Group and its $339 donation to the non-profit.

“We want to thank all of you who have supported us this past year,” Paulsen said.

Foster Your Future is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing support programs for homeless and aging-out-foster young adults. Since 2015, Foster Your Future has had an 85% success rate in increasing the young adult who ages out of the foster system to become an independent and successful adult, Paulsen said.

In 2023, FYF helped a total of 40 young adults on their educational/vocational path, taught life skills that they never learned in their group homes, helped them earn a GED, obtain a driver’s license and maintain credentials.

“If this is of interest to any of you, we are in great need of volunteers and additional funding to keep these young adults on their road to independence,” Paulsen added. “Please feel free to contact me anytime to discuss volunteer and funding opportunities. We welcome speaking to interested groups and sharing more details on our successes with these young adults.”
