Fountain goes green

Hundreds of people dropped by Fountain Park on Wednesday, March 17 to enjoy the specter of seeing one of the world’s tallest Fountain turn green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

The “Greening of the Fountain” is a tradition in the community that dates back more than 40 years started by a group of mischievous Irish in the community.

This year the Fountain turned green at 12 noon, as has been the tradition, and again at 5 p.m.
