Fountain Hills Unified School District faculty and students were recognized as “Falcons of the Month” at the Nov. 19 FHUSD Governing Board meeting.
Little Falcons Preschool Director Denise Matus presented Student of the Month Matthew Slover. His teacher wrote Slover smiles, is observant, “is willing to lend a hand to classmates” and “helps his friends to be safe on the playground.”
Matus also introduced Quillan Janssen, a Fountain Hills High School and FHUSD alum whom Matus taught in kindergarten. Now part of the preschool staff, Janssen is helpful in many ways, Matus said, ranging from setting up for pumpkin carving or caring for the mushroom crops.
