Fountain Hills approves alternative pavement management option

Town to redo list of cul de sacs

The Fountain Hills Town Council unanimously approved a proposed change to pavement management to shift work from Kingstree Boulevard to various cul de sacs during its meeting on Tuesday, May 5.

Based on the proposed budget, the town works with its vendor to create unrestrained scenarios, as Public Works Director Justin Weldy described it, to review types of treatment and roads and best options from that data.

In that process, a 1.5-mile portion of Kingstree Boulevard was selected and approved by the council but, after further analysis, it was decided full treatment was not the best fit.
