The Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery is kicking off the 2024 season with the new “Meet and Mingle” artist reception series the first Wednesday of the month.
The community is invited to come and rub shoulders with 10 artists showcasing a variety of mediums Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m.

“The Southwest has an abundance of color and light, and I love to capture it in my paintings of desert landscapes, plants, buildings, and animals,” Prather said, whose medium of choice is watercolor.
Prather will give a brief presentation about herself and her art at the reception.
“We are so happy to have Cheryl join our gallery,” gallery Manager Margaret Sullivan said. “Her bright watercolors are very becoming and have been popular with our customers.”
The artists will prepare appetizers from the gallery cookbook and beverages are available at this casual event. This is an opportunity to meet local talent at a relaxed social mixer.
Gallery cookbooks will be raffled at the event.
The Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery is located at 16858 Avenue of the Fountains and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
