Fountain Hills High School senior Bella Garman had 29 career wins entering this beach volleyball season, fifth most in school history, and her recent accomplishments make her the Fountain Hills Times Independent Athlete of the Month for April.
Garman went 9-3 on the season and went 2-2 in the last two weeks. Her losses came against top-ranked teams, but the Falcons were able to finish the season with a 6-0 win over No. 22 Odyssey Institute (5-7) on senior night.
The Falcons (9-3) moved up one spot in the rankings to No. 7 after their final win, and if that holds, it’ll be their best ranking in three years.
