Nonprofit organizations serving youth, families and seniors in Fountain Hills and the surrounding area are invited to apply for a 2025 grant from the Fountain Hills Community Foundation (FHCF).
Grant requests will be accepted June 1-30, according to a press release, and the FHCF will distribute $50,000, with a maximum award of $5,000 to each grantee.
“We’re sincerely grateful to everyone who supported the Fountain Hills Community Foundation this year,” Tara Lamar, FHCF board director and giving committee chairperson, said. “Your generosity allows us to award grants to local nonprofits which are positively impacting our community.”
Lamar leads a committee of 11 who will score each application based on a variety of criteria including community impact, need, effectiveness, feasibility and sustainability.
Applicants must be a 501(c)3 organization and be able to describe how their organization serves the Fountain Hills area, according to the release. The Giving Committee will evaluate each application and make grant recommendations to the Fountain Hills Community Foundation Board for approval. Awards will be distributed in October at the FHCF’s annual gifting luncheon. An online application is available at fountainhillsgives.com/grant-process.
The FHCF provides additional funding for educational, cultural and humanitarian nonprofit organizations operating within Fountain Hills and the surrounding community. The organization, originally known as the Sunridge Foundation, was formed in 1995. To date, it has provided more than $1.5 million in financial support for local nonprofits.
