Twenty-three local organizations will receive grants totaling more than $66,000 from the Fountain Hills Community Foundation at a gifting ceremony Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Eagle Mountain Golf Club.

Recipients for the 2024 grant awards include Fountain Hills Little League, Second Chance at the Fountain Hills Middle School, Fountain Hills Parent Teacher Organization, Fountain Hills Protect Our Youth Coalition, Fountain Hills High School Athletic Boosters, Fountain Hills High School Band Boosters, Fountain Hills Falcon Fiesta, Foster Your Future, Fountain Hills Theater, Junior Achievement, Matthew House -Ascension Church, Reigning Grace Ranch, SAWS Southwest, Society of St. Vincent de Paul and Tender Little Hearts Mini Tales Equine Therapy.

“Our Fountain Hills Community Foundation Gifting Committee of nine people had a very difficult task of recommending to our FHCF Board from over 40 grant requests,” Bill Myhr, chairman of the Gifting Committee said. “Our goal was to add value or strengthen the overall organization based on the project they submitted for funding. It was a difficult task because they are all so deserving.”

Gifting Ceremony is Oct. 3

Members of the recipient groups are asked to attend the gifting ceremony from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, when representatives will receive their grant checks and have the opportunity to network with members of the Fountain Hills Community Foundation.

Later in the evening, foundation members are invited to attend the FHCF’s annual meeting, which convenes at 6 p.m.
