The Fountain Hills Community Garden is hosting a grand reopening and a health and wellness celebration Saturday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Community Garden near the Centennial Circle, 12901 N. La Montana Dr.

Free and open to the public, the event will include vendor booths, garden tours, a cooking class led by Debbie Romano and live music provided by The Sand Pigeons.

Sponsored by Fountain Hills Cultural & Civic Association, the Community Garden offers a place where residents can learn to garden, grow healthy produce, connect with nature, stay physically active and build social interactions, a press release said.

The garden offers a quiet and restful setting for the enjoyment of the natural world of plants, birds, insects and soil, the release added.

A place of inter-generational relationships, the Community Garden is where master gardeners can share their wisdom about progressive gardening techniques, composting and water conservation to children and adults.

Garden membership is $20 per year and will be available for purchase at the event.
