Fountain Hills council approves permit for Pal’s Inn Pet Resort

For second residential unit

The Fountain Hills Town Council unanimously approved a special use permit for Pal’s Inn Pet Resort during its Sept. 15 meeting, though it came with questions on the order of operations.

During a recent remodel of the resort’s upstairs, a second apartment space was added, prompting a special use request for residential in the commercially zoned area. A caretaker’s quarters currently exists on the second floor, though office space was remodeled to make room for a second unit.

Development Services Director John Wesley noted that remodeling to include a second unit was complete prior to being approved by the council, though there is an existing kitchenette.
