Fountain Hills Council hears plan for reconstruction of Palomino Blvd.

Project could begin with FY 26 budget year

Palomino Boulevard is a Fountain Hills street that likely generates more complaints about its condition than any other.

The street runs roughly 1.4 miles between Palisades and Fountain Hills boulevards and is a heavily traveled residential street.

Town staff has developed a plan to finance reconstruction of the street without significantly impacting funds used for other street maintenance work. Public Works Director Justin Weldy told council members at a Feb. 24 budget planning session the cost of the work is currently estimated at $5.4 million with construction to take 18 to 20 months, splitting the costs over two fiscal years.
