Councilman Allen Skillicorn is seeking to preemptively address Sharia Law in Fountain Hills..

Fountain Hills Town Councilman Allen Skillicorn during the Sept. 15 meeting requested drafting a “Florida-style” ban on Sharia Law.

Councilmembers Hannah Larrabee and Rick Watts seconded the motion while Vice Mayor Gayle Earle said she would be open to a conversation on what it would entail. Councilwoman Peggy McMahon expressed concern.

“I don’t think it’s appropriate to spend legal time and fees on something without some type of discussion about this subject,” McMahon said.
