Fountain Hills council receives historic recommendation

History & Culture Advisory Commission

The Town of Fountain Hills History & Culture Advisory Commission has voted unanimously to recommend five locations in town for designation as historic landmarks by the Town Council.

The five sites include the stone dam in Emerald Wash that is within the Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden, the MCO Sales and Reception Center on Saguaro Boulevard at Colony Drive, the development Model Home Center on Saguaro Boulevard at Rand Drive, the first residential home to be occupied in town on Calaveras Avenue and Little John’s on Saguaro Boulevard.

The commission has a list that includes other locations, however, decided to present five initially.
