The Fountain Hills Town Council held a lengthy discussion during its Dec. 2 meeting regarding town-owned land and direction on whether it should consider selling the properties.
Two example properties discussed included the strip between Ashbrook Wash and Ashbrook Drive, which includes four concept lots in a residential zoning that allows duplexes, and the corner of Desert Canyon Road and Sunridge Drive.
Public comments regarding the Sunridge Canyon property focused on keeping the parcel open, though if the property is sold that it be built to match the surrounding neighborhood’s character of single-family homes.
