A member of the Fountian Hills Town Council has filed an ethics complaint against a fellow council member related specifically to incidents involving interactions with members of town staff.
Councilwoman Brenda Kalivianakis filed the complaint against Councilman Allen Skillicorn on Jan. 3. Town Clerk Linda Mendenhall said the complaint was forwarded to the town’s attorney and would likely be forwarded to outside counsel for review and a decision. Kalivianakis reported the filing to The Times Independent herself.
“It is with a heavy heart that I’m compelled to file this ethics complaint with the Town of Fountain Hills against my colleague, Councilman Allen Skillicorn,” Kalivianakis wrote in a statement. “I am not filing this complaint with any ill will or malice, but with the earnest hope that this intervention will help Allen become a better representative of our town government and serve all his constituents well.”
