The Four Peaks Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held a memorial service to honor patriots from the Revolutionary War on Saturday, Dec. 13, near the trees that the chapter donated to the town a few years ago.
After a service to honor the ordinary men and women who achieved extraordinary things in the fight for independence, each member stated aloud the name of their patriot with the service culminating in reciting George Washington’s “Prayer for our Nation.”
‘Toast to Liberty’ is Feb. 7
