The Fountain Hills Democratic Club will open the new year with a meeting focused on preparations for the 2026 election cycle.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Fountain Hills Community Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The featured guest speaker will be Jeff Fortney, a Democratic candidate for the Arizona Legislative District 3 state Senate seat. Fortney is a Cave Creek resident and a former technology professional who has worked as a special education teacher since 2004. He currently serves on the Cave Creek Unified School District Governing Board.

The Fountain Hills Democratic Club will open the new year with a meeting focused on preparations for the 2026 election cycle.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Fountain Hills Community Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The featured guest speaker will be Jeff Fortney, a Democratic candidate for the Arizona Legislative District 3 state Senate seat. Fortney is a Cave Creek resident and a former technology professional who has worked as a special education teacher since 2004. He currently serves on the Cave Creek Unified School District Governing Board.
The club will also hear from representatives of Defend the Taxpayers, a political action committee active in Arizona’s Congressional District 1. According to the group, its mission focuses on opposing extremist policies and advocating for Arizona families.
Attendees may join or renew membership in the Fountain Hills Democratic Club. Annual membership dues are $25. More information is available at fhdemocraticclub.org.
