Fountain Hills district joins suit vs. tech firm

With zero investment and possible damages and improved cybersecurity to gain, the Fountain Hills Unified School District made what it termed an easy decision at its April 16 meeting.

The board unanimously decided to add FHUSD to a list of schools and organizations suing the operators of an online service called PowerSchool over a December 2024 data breach.

The vote came two weeks after the board heard a presentation from an attorney who’s already representing school districts in preparing litigation against PowerSchool.
