While Fountain Hills Unified School District leaders are taking several steps to reign in spending next year, they’re also adding a few expenses and costs to account for rising prices and the need for retention.
The FHUSD Governing Board took one such step April 2, when it unanimously approved a stipend increase for the district’s 10 special education teachers.
At the suggestion of Superintendent Dr. Cain Jagodzinski, the board approved a “hard-to-fill” stipend policy that’s specific to its special-ed teachers.
