Fountain Hills Express commemorates sale of $1M lottery ticket

Fountain Hills Express recently received a commemorative check for the $1 million winning lottery ticket sold in August 2025.

(Fountain Hills Express)

Fountain Hills Express is a convenience store known for its provisions, deli meats, craft beers and more.

But the store gained notoriety for something else last August - an innocuous purchase of a $30 lottery ticket ended up being a big winner. The winning customer won $1 million, and the store was given a $10,000 prize from AZ Lottery soon after.

In January of this year, the store even received a commemorative $1M check that is not worth real money but serves as a memento for the massive sale.
