Another scorching summer is approaching Fountain Hills, which means that it’s pool season for many of its residents.
However, amongst all of the excitement of the water, Fountain Hills Fire Chief Mike Winters has some very important tips for parents to help keep their kids and loved ones safe from the possibility of drowning this summer.
“The biggest thing is to make sure that people are watching their kids around the water. Kids can get in and they can slip out and you never can tell,” Winters said. “I’ve never seen a fence that a kid can’t climb over and you can’t depend on somebody or something else to keep your kids from getting in the water.”
