John Krajnak has for a long time had a connection to Fountain Hills.
He worked for Rural/Metro Fire Department here for six years as an engineer. He also recalls his high school days at Sedona Red Rock where he played basketball and had to face a Fountain Hills High School team that won three straight consecutive state championships.
Now a Gilbert resident, Krajnak is settling into a new job in Fountain Hills as just the second official employee of the Fountain Hills Fire Department. He joins Chief Dave Ott with that distinction until Jan. 1, when all employees will work for the newly established fire department.
