Fountain Hills football coach enters Michigan Hall of Fame

Offseason focus on recruiting

Fountain Hills High School has been home to multiple elite coaches over the years.

Pete Schermerhorn is preparing for his second season as the Falcons’ head football coach, and he’s another standout leader on and off the field. Schermerhorn recently received news that he will be inducted into the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame on June 21, 2024.

Other coaches also stand out. Former coach Pete McGloin helped Fountain Hills become one of the first schools in the entire country to have a varsity beach volleyball program and led the Falcons to multiple state championships. Earlier this year, both basketball coaches reached milestones, with Amanda Baca earning her 100th victory and Jeff Bonner celebrating his 200th career win.
