“Three years ago, I had a phone call with you to go over the program requirements while I was residing in a shelter,” Jake said in a shared message from the organization. “Recently, I was offered (and accepted) an opportunity to relocate for a travel assignment to South Carolina with the company I work for. Because of your support, I am in a comfortable place to be able to make this transition as smoothly as possible.”
Foster Your Future connects youth aging out of the foster system with caring mentors and provides strategic financial assistance to help them achieve stability and success.
Foster Your Future has received continued support from donors and community partners, including the Four Peaks Rotary Club, the Kuhle Family Foundation, Valley of the Sun United Way, the Neely Foundation, Pastor Bryan Hansen’s Community Church and individual supporters like Betsy S. and Joyce H.
As Jake embarks on his next chapter, he has also offered to remain involved as a remote member of the Foster Your Future advisory committee.
“I want to thank you for your kindness and support in my success as a young adult in the program,” he wrote. “I hope to remain in contact throughout the future!”
