A budgeting exercise will also be included to show how meal planning stretches dollars, a press release read.

In addition to their newly acquired skills, participants will leave each session with four to five ready-to-go meals for the week, new food prep and storage containers, new cookware and a grocery gift store gift card. Transportation will also be available for anyone who needs it.

“The benefits go far beyond eating healthier and saving money. Learning to cook provides young adults with additional tools to make good choices for themselves,” the release said.
