The Children’s Cancer Network (CCN) organization was once again the recipient of help from Four Peaks Women’s Club.

The CCN has been collecting school supplies from businesses and organizations around the state. The club helps get everything ready for distribution to the children. CCN is a non-profit organization that assists families who have a child struggling to combat cancer, assisting the entire family since all of them are involved in the battle against this deadly disease.

All of the families served by this organization are vetted by hospitals throughout Arizona, according to a press release. In addition to receiving school supplies, they are the recipients of scholarships, gas and food cards.

Four Peaks Women’s Club will be actively engaged with CCN in November when they help decorate Christmas trees for 20 families, as well as shop for an entire family for the Christmas holiday.

Joyce Stehlik has chaired these projects with CCN for a number of years, according to Barb Hansen, president of Four Peaks.

“I am happy to have the club be a part of this very important project,” Hansen said.
