Weekend storm hit Fountain Hills with damage, about an inch of rainfall

Storm rolled through town Saturday, Aug. 17

The storm caused damages to several trees around Fountain Park including at least four large trees near the Rotary Splash Pad and Veteran's Memorial.

A storm rolled through Fountain Hills on Saturday, Aug. 17, taking with it several trees at Fountain Park.

Rainfall was .87-inch at the Fountain Hills Fire Station #1 on Palisades Blvd. and .95-inch at Sunridge Dam at the Sunridge Canyon Golf Club.

There was 1.10 inches of rain recorded at Asher Hill just west of Rio Verde.
