The Fountain Hills High School girls basketball team has won 10 games in a row since January began and hope to hold its ranking to gain home court advantage in the playoffs.
The No. 5 Falcons (14-1) survived a battle, 40-32, with No. 18 Camp Verde (9-7) on Jan. 27, and beat Wickenburg (4-12) 72-38 on Jan. 30. Sophomore Taleigha Bonaha scored a season-high of 11 points in her fourth game back from injury, and she scored six in the fourth quarter against Camp Verde.
“Feels great,” Bonaha said. “I like the communication that we have and the positivity. That’s what keeps the team going.”
