A team of destiny. A Cinderella story. The dark horse. Whatever name suits Fountain Hills girls basketball, go ahead.

Behind another second-half comeback, fourth-seeded Fountain Hills downed top-seeded San Carlos 62-57 to stamp its place in the 2A state championship game Saturday, Feb. 28.

“We weren't even supposed to make it to the final four,” head coach Tom Ferington said.
