The Fountain Hills High School golf season was one of the best in recent years.
With no seniors on the team last year, the Falcons were determined to do better. They didn’t win a single match last year and regularly placed second, but they came in first several times this year.
The team also qualified for the state championship for the first time in three years. Senior Ethan Schafer and his older brother Alex Schafer represented Fountain Hills as individuals at state over the past three years, but this time the team placed 12th.
