The Fountain Hills High School golf team survived a large curveball thrown their way at the end of the season.
Due to a health concern discovered during the season, head coach Kevin Wilkinson will not be able to finish the season with the team. Athletic Director Evelyn Wynn stepped up to coach the Falcons in their final three contests.
“I was happy to step in to monitor our golf team as they competed against both Gilbert Christian and Tempe Prep this week,” Wynn said. “Our athletes’ ability to overcome and adapt to unforeseen circumstances always amazes me. Their resilience and positive attitude, even when given a bad hand, is impressive and makes me incredibly proud as their Athletic Director.”
