The Fountain Hills Republican Club is holding its annual barbecue fundraising picnic Saturday, Oct. 18, and three major candidates for the Republican nomination for Arizona Governor are scheduled to be on hand. The event is planned from 1 to 3 p.m.
Congressman David Schweikert, a Fountain Hills resident, Congressman Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson will meet and greet those attending. All three have announced their candidacy for the Republican nomination to challenge Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs in the 2026 election.
There will also be other state and local GOP candidates on hand to talk politics.

The Fountain Hills Republican Club is holding its annual barbecue fundraising picnic Saturday, Oct. 18, and three major candidates for the Republican nomination for Arizona Governor are scheduled to be on hand. The event is planned from 1 to 3 p.m.
Congressman David Schweikert, a Fountain Hills resident, Congressman Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson will meet and greet those attending. All three have announced their candidacy for the Republican nomination to challenge Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs in the 2026 election.
There will also be other state and local GOP candidates on hand to talk politics.
The annual barbecue picnic is a fundraising event and is being held at the Saguaro Ramada at Golden Eagle Park in Fountain Hills, 15900 Golden Eagle Blvd., Fountain Hills. The food is hot dogs and hamburgers.
The cost for club members is $21 and $26 for non-members. Payment is cash or credit card.
