Fountain Hills greatly impacted by success of school district

OPINION — In August 2025, the Maricopa County Superior Court ruled that Arizona’s current K-12 public school finance system violates the Arizona constitution.
Citing statewide evidence of unsafe buildings and widespread security deficiencies, the court determined that the state is not properly funding the school districts. Instead of addressing the problem, the ruling was appealed. The judge’s order is still tied up in the courts. In the meantime, Arizona school districts still do not receive crucial funding.
