Fountain Hills High School adds veterans storytelling elective

New course will connect students with local veterans to preserve and publish their stories

Students at Fountain Hills High School will soon have the opportunity to preserve the stories of local veterans through a new elective course approved by the Fountain Hills Unified School District Governing Board on June 17.

The new class, Imprints of Honor, expands on the school’s Veterans Heritage Project, which Superintendent Cain Jagodzinski started while serving as the high school’s principal in 2018, he said during a June 3 board meeting.

The trimester-long elective will be open to students in grades 10-12 and can be repeated for elective credit.
