Fountain Hills High School boys basketball team enjoying winning streak

Fountain Hills High School boys basketball team recently gained a three-game win streak with a satisfying win against Highland Preparatory. The Falcons crushed the Honey Badgers, 56-22. The Falcons offense was electric in every way and outshone Highland Prep’s lack of scoring. Senior Lucas Grieco, who is averaging 10.3 points per game, continued his positive play with 11 points, four assists and two rebounds. Junior Ahren Lloyd was the main force in the paint on both ends of the floor. Lloyd finished with 14 points, six rebounds and four blocks.

“Our defense put a lot of pressure on them and boxed them out when defending one on one,” said assistant coach Brent Olson. “Offensively everything was falling for us. Lucas Grieco’s and Matthew Heaney’s three pointers were sinking in the basket all game. Ahren Lloyd and Michael Fitzherbert controlled the paint, while getting tough layups to go in.”
