Fountain Hills Middle School (FHMS) and Fountain Hills High School (FHHS) have been recognized as 2025 National Model Schools by the Center for Model Schools, a division of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
Superintendent Dr. Cain Jagodzinski recently announced the news in an email to Fountain Hills Unified School District (FHUSD) parents and guardians, congratulating all involved for the recognition meant to spotlight schools that “exemplify academic excellence and foster positive learning environments.” Jagodzinski noted that, in 2024, only 28 schools across the country received the distinction as National Model Schools and, in 2025, FHUSD has two schools earning that honor.
“Our recognition as National Model Schools is a testament to the remarkable academic growth we’ve achieved over the past three years,” Jagodzinski said in the email. “This accomplishment reflects the unwavering dedication of our students, educators, staff and the invaluable support from our parents and guardians.”
