Boys Basketball
Last week, the Fountain Hills High School boys basketball team lost in a close game to the North Valley Christian Academy Lions 44-42. Both teams played their hardest in all four quarters. The game was mainly both teams’ defenses protecting the paint and perimeter exceptionally well. Neither team could gain the upper hand against the other. However, North Valley Christian Academy senior Brayden Collins ended the game with a tough drive to the basket and laying the ball in. Collins finished with 13 points, three rebounds and two steals. North Valley Sophomore Zathan Ruffin was another threat for the Lions finishing with a double-double 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Fountain Hills senior guard Lucas Grieco continues his consistent season finishing with 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Junior Ahren Llyod also performed well, scoring 12 points and five rebounds.
