The Fountain Hills Community Lions Club recently presented to students at The Inspiration Academy (TIA) about water conservation and stormwater pollution.
A total of 15 middle and high school students took a mini field trip with Lions Club President Don Wendell to a nearby storm drain to discuss what should and shouldn’t go down the drain.
“It’s important for future generations to understand to not put bad stuff down the drains because it goes to the Salt River and Verde River,” Wendell said. “It’s out of sight, out of mind, and we want to instill the importance of clean water.”
