There are several locations around Fountain Hills where there are sidewalk repairs being done.

According to Town PIO Bo Larsen, much of the work being done is for repairs of bulging sidewalks. However, he notes that some work on Golden Eagle will make the sidewalk ramps ADA compliant.

On La Montana Drive in front of the Town Hall complex a leaking pipe is being repaired, but it has taken a while to complete the sidewalk repair, Larsen said.

“Curb modifications, which will be ADA-compliant, are underway on Golden Eagle Boulevard at the Sierra Madre Boulevard and Boulder Drive intersection,” Public Works Director Justin Weldy said. “The north and southbound lanes of Golden Eagle will be reduced to one lane in both directions for the safety of the construction crews. This project will be completed by the end of January.”

The northbound lanes of Saguaro Boulevard at Kingstree Boulevard have been restricted to one lane for construction. The Town is adding a sidewalk and right lane shoulder to the road. A temporary pedestrian walkway is installed. Motorists are asked to follow all safety signs and be cautious of any bicyclists and pedestrians.
