Each session takes place during the first half hour of the Memory Café, which is held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the Fountain Hills Community Center, according to a press release.

On Thursday, Nov. 13, “Feeding Your Brain and Body” will focus on anti-inflammatory foods, hydration and supplements that support both physical and cognitive vitality.

On Thursday, Dec. 11, “The Heart-Spirit Connection” focuses on the emotional and spiritual aspects of brain health and the roles of purpose, relationships, forgiveness and joy.

On Thursday, Jan. 8, “Holistic Living for Lifelong Wellness” ties it all together with lifestyle design, daily rituals and empowering participants to take ownership of their ageing journey.

Led by Dr Karen Willfahrt, NMD, RN, participants will learn practical tips and activities to promote wellbeing in everyday life, the release continues. The Memory Cafe is a free, monthly gathering for individuals living with memory challenges and their care partners.

Each meeting offers socialization, education and enrichment activities in a supportive, stigma-free environment. These events are free and open to the public and sponsored by the Town of Fountain Hills Community Center.
