Fountain Hills Middle School opens 'Second Chance'

Steffnie Beck opens home goods store for students

Starting this fall, Fountain Hills Middle School students will be able to shop in their very own home goods/clothing store on campus.

Steffnie Beck has spent the summer preparing her “Second Chance” store. Her store will provide students with free clothes, hygiene and makeup supplies, shoes, school supplies and various other knick knacks supplied largely by local community members.

“I am a believer in everything should be used to its fullest,” Beck said. “I hate when people throw things in the trash, so that’s why it’s called Second Chance. Maybe what you don’t want will make somebody else happy instead of just sitting in the closet.”
