The Fountain Hills High School wrestling team went to San Tan Foothills for a two-day tournament over Jan. 19 and Jan. 20.

The Falcons placed fifth out of 19 teams in the Third Annual Desert Challenge Invitational, and two Falcons walked away as champions.

“We had a really good two-day tournament. It was fun, and the kids wrestled well,” head coach Luke Salzman said. “Ty Langer won his first tournament ever. It is the best feeling to be the champion.”
