Fountain Hills Poet Rod Drought has always been drawn to tales of redemption.

It’s why for his debut novel, he chose to explore that theme through the lens of a young man whose promising future is shattered by betrayal.

“Phoenix Rising, Lemuria Down” tells the story of Cody Redman, a Phoenix-based YouTube child star who was on the path of life-changing success until his parents, who also served as his producers, stole his earnings and disappeared.
